Downtown Redlands Shows Signs of Life

23 June 2008

It used to be that walking around downtown Redlands was immeasurably boring. Sure there was a bar or two, but nothing special. This has slowly changed over the years. While the Redlands mall is still a dilapidated marketplace that only low rent jewelry stores and thrift shops bother with, the nightlife across orange street is starting to come alive. This is evidenced by the increased number of pedestrians walking around on your average Tuesday or Wednesday night, in addition to the crowds found on weekend nights.

The Pink Flamingo has been a staple in Redlands as far as dive bars are concerned, but there is a quasi charm to it. What’s not charming is the ‘cash only’ acceptance. Then you have the Royal Falconer, which is another old bar in the city that services a higher end clientele, while also taking care of those in need of a brew. The new bars on the block are Charlie Jewels, and The Vault. Both of these bars carter to a different crowd, with Charlie Jewels being more of a party bar and the Vault more a laid back area with different areas inside and outside the main bar you can sit at.

In addition to those Redlands bars, there is the Boiler Room and a few martini bars around downtown for residents to enjoy. It might even help some of these places to advertise that they are open and that there is a nightlife going on. An excellent way to do this is through the web. And for great Redlands web design, try a web company called frye / wiles.

They can help with not only making your website clean and modern, but also improve the branding of your bar or restaurant.
