Courtney Sale Ross’ Endeavors on Groundbreaking Education
4 February 2010
Courtney Sale Ross has been a dynamic icon in innovative education institutes and development models that serve as the foundation for educational transformation. Courtney Ross began to participate in enhancing the education programs in 1991, when she, along with her late husband Steve Ross, founded the Ross School.
Courtney Sale Ross aspires to make the Ross School a center of technology and the collective practices of peer lecturing and on site learning. To extend her reach to even more students, she started up the Ross Global Academy, a ground breaking public charter school that centers on globalization. The Ross Global Academy offers students integrated development and provides them with the knowledge and skills that are essential today.
Aside from her participation in the Ross School and the Ross Global Academy, Courtney Ross also maintains the Tisch School’s Courtney Sale Ross Scholarship Fund. The scholarship is presented to deprived women who desire to gain the benefit of education. She also bequeathed the Courtney and Steven Ross Chair in Interdisciplinary Studies to Skidmore College, her former school. Furthermore, she also manages the Ross Institute for Advanced Study and Innovation in Education, a nonprofit research institution that centers on innovative methods for education.
